The Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium had been an idea passed around by city councilors in the 1950′s and 60′s. It was first mentioned in 1953 but forgotten and remembered for the next decade until finally it’s current location was chosen on the Brandon University campus. It was fully built in 1969 and cost 2 million dollars.

The auditorium has over 800 seats and has been the host of events and shows from jazz festivals to BTO and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. The specially designed interior makes for a superb acoustical experience. It also features many halls that can be used for banquets, recitals and dancing. The auditorium has everything that a major concert hall has, including 8 dressing rooms, and can be used for whatever your event’s needs are.

Another thing that makes the auditorium stand out is it’s unique architecture. The only building of it’s type in Brandon, it gives the auditorium a modernesque feel while still allowing the viewer to know exactly what the building is about.
